In our journey to serve the underserved, our first step is to reach out to the community before they begin coming to us. Because of this, we aim to canvass areas that we've recognized to need help and deliver healthy, fresh produce, free of charge.
As costs rise within the 209 and beyond, we want to gather information on the communities in the valley hit hardest by grocery store inflation. This survey allows us to see the different levels of price rises throughout San Joaquin County, thus telling us where we can help the most.
Serving the underserved doesn't just mean providing - it means fighting stigma, too. Our community grocery donation events serve not only as a way for underserved families to get no-cost, fresh produce, but as fun outings for the entire family.
To equip the next set of community leaders, we provide the tools necessary within our completely free food insecurity educational workshops to break the cycle that creates food deserts and food swamps in our local communities. If you are interested in us presenting at your school, please contact us!
